FAQ > MOMI > What happens if I don't install my new license key before the old one expires?
Nothing will happen to MOMI if the customer does not install their renewal keys, assuming they do not try to upgrade the MOMI server software.
When a customer purchases MOMI, they receive the right to operate that version of MOMI on that system with no time limit. They can start/stop MOMI and start/stop their system (some other products license only continue up to a program or system restart, hence why we mention it).
A purchased MOMI license provides two things:
1) operation of the software in a 'full' mode indefinitely for their license level
2) Software Maintenance for the first year which provides email/telephone support, the ability to apply updated versions of the software and the ability to transfer their license to new supported NonStop platforms.
A purchased MOMI password contains an Upgrade until date. This date determines how long the customer may apply new versions of MOMI software. Contained within each MOMI server is the release date. The MOMI server will not function if the internal release date of the server is less than the Upgrade until date.
